There is never a dull moment in the Mitchell house. I hope you enjoy the ride. We sure do!!!!

Brotherly Love

One concern had when we brought Natalie home was how the boys would respond to her. I was obviously the most concerned with Ty since he is not so fond of doing anything gently. I figured there would  be some adjustment issues but honestly, this little lady could not be more loved. Ty is not always gentle, but he is loving. He has even started calling her Natalie instead of just baby.  I have NO worries that this little girl will be protected and loved by her two big brothers.

Ty was so happy about reading to Natalie.
She is barely awake and already being ambushed. Quite the wake up call!
Ty gave Natalie his bunny when she was crying. Nothing makes me happier.

Natalie and her #1. (Ty is just a little too loud for her)

Nana and Papa Visit

We love when Nana and Papa visit....I have to wait to tell the kids until the morning they plan to get here because the questions are nonstop from the moment they know they are coming until they get there. Everyone knows that Myles LOVES his Papa. Papa is almost a mythical man in our house. Papa can do NO wrong...EVER!! When in doubt, say that it is how papa would do it, wear it, or eat it and Myles will do it. Now that Ty is old enough to show a preference and personality I knew it was going to be interesting to see who he "picked" as his favorite. I noticed that whenever Ty calls someone on his fake phone it's either Daddy or Nana so she at least had a chance. I just wasn't sure with all the Papa talk that Myles does if Nana would get a fair chance. Turns out the boys made it nice and easy. Myles is a Papa's boy and Ty is a Nana's boy. At one point Ty looked at dad and pointed to the other room and said, "go". He wanted his Nana. I am just happy that both mom and dad take it in stride and I don't have to try to keep the peace. They are kids and they have a mind of their own. Sorry if you are the one they don't like as much.
Ty LOVES the book that mom and dad recorded for them. I'm pretty sure I've heard the Charlie Brown Christmas Story 132 times since they have left. :-)
We drove to Cincinnati for the day to see the aquarium. The kids really enjoyed it, but I was disappointed that the 800lb alligator was no longer there. I heard a rumor he will be back in March though, so I think we'll be making another trip if he does come back.
Here are our attempts at getting a decent family photo. I had to add them all just because Ty always makes me smile.

I think this is what you call "Hands on Grandparenting" or "Emergency Room Here We Come"!
They were enthrolled with a video clip of a man in the forest who has a big group of gorillas come up and touch him.  FYI We do turn the heat on in the house, but Ty insisted he was cold so this made him happy. And Myles just likes gloves....This is how we roll.

I feel so blessed to have such young parents!!

Thank goodness for a fun distraction at the airport. Good-byes can be pretty rough.

3 months

Here are Natalie's 3 month pics even though she's 4 months now. :-) I'm going to just post them both today so that I am all caught up. :-)
I thought this picture of Natalie was so cute and Nat said he was not a fan. He finally told me he didn't like her being "naked". He is a protective dad already. I just love those sweet little rolls.
I think this is the little model pose.

This picture was thanks to Pinterest. I took 2 pics. One with the clothes on for daddy and one with the sweet baby skin for mommy.

4 months

Here are Natalie's 4 month pics while she is STILL 4 months old! Thought I would try something new and post them on time this month.Interesting concept hu? This month has been a bit of a blur. We had 1 full week of sickness in the house for everyone except Natalie. It was a rough week,  but with a sweet face like that smiling back at you, it was doable.
A big accomplishment this month was that Natalie learned how to roll from her belly to her back. She is holding her head up so well when she is on her belly and LOVES to sit in the jumperoo and watch her brothers running circles around her. She is 12lbs 6oz and just a little peanut. (Myles was 4.5lbs heavier and Ty was 3.5 lbs heavier at this age!!!!) She is sleeping really well at night and we are getting some good routines down during the day as well. The only thing we are battling is her night time mommy needs. From about 8pm until she goes down at 10 she wants no one but mom. As flattering as this is, she and daddy will be getting some quality time to try to work on this little phase.

So strong on her belly.

The camera OBVIOUSLY adds 5lbs because she does NOT look this chunky in real life. Still love the baby rolls though!
And a picture with clothes on.....Just to please daddy.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

This Valentines Day is a little different than all the rest because I am starting the tradition my mom did of making Valentines Day all about the kids and not even thinking about Nat and I so much. He will be getting a surprise steak dinner tonight, so I guess I am just taking any stress off Nat needing to do anything for me :-)
Now that I have a sweet baby girl I thought it was a must to make her look all sweet. I made her her 1st of many little red Valentines outfits which she looks adorable in if I do say so. I also took a Valentine themed photo shoot. (Thank you Pinterest for the idea!)
Here's to hoping you ALL have a wonderful Valentines Day and feel the Love all year long!!!

This just makes me giggle!!!! SOOOO many captions I would like to add here.
