Nana and Papa Visit

We love when Nana and Papa visit....I have to wait to tell the kids until the morning they plan to get here because the questions are nonstop from the moment they know they are coming until they get there. Everyone knows that Myles LOVES his Papa. Papa is almost a mythical man in our house. Papa can do NO wrong...EVER!! When in doubt, say that it is how papa would do it, wear it, or eat it and Myles will do it. Now that Ty is old enough to show a preference and personality I knew it was going to be interesting to see who he "picked" as his favorite. I noticed that whenever Ty calls someone on his fake phone it's either Daddy or Nana so she at least had a chance. I just wasn't sure with all the Papa talk that Myles does if Nana would get a fair chance. Turns out the boys made it nice and easy. Myles is a Papa's boy and Ty is a Nana's boy. At one point Ty looked at dad and pointed to the other room and said, "go". He wanted his Nana. I am just happy that both mom and dad take it in stride and I don't have to try to keep the peace. They are kids and they have a mind of their own. Sorry if you are the one they don't like as much.
Ty LOVES the book that mom and dad recorded for them. I'm pretty sure I've heard the Charlie Brown Christmas Story 132 times since they have left. :-)
We drove to Cincinnati for the day to see the aquarium. The kids really enjoyed it, but I was disappointed that the 800lb alligator was no longer there. I heard a rumor he will be back in March though, so I think we'll be making another trip if he does come back.
Here are our attempts at getting a decent family photo. I had to add them all just because Ty always makes me smile.

I think this is what you call "Hands on Grandparenting" or "Emergency Room Here We Come"!
They were enthrolled with a video clip of a man in the forest who has a big group of gorillas come up and touch him.  FYI We do turn the heat on in the house, but Ty insisted he was cold so this made him happy. And Myles just likes gloves....This is how we roll.

I feel so blessed to have such young parents!!

Thank goodness for a fun distraction at the airport. Good-byes can be pretty rough.
