1 and 3 Year Pics

This week I decided I needed to get the boys' 1 year old and 3 year old pictures done. I had in my mind how it would go. They boys would sit patiently and look right into the lens and smile. Oh how fun that would be. That is NOT how it went. (I know those of you reading this are laughing your butts off because you KNOW that NEITHER of my boys sit still for anything). A girl can dream though right? Ty was INSANE. I do remember that stage with Myles though because in his 1yr old picture I did at JcPenny I am holding his hand as he is standing there because that was the only way to get him to stand still long enough to take it. Myles is was a sweet helper though and he stood behind me saying "Beedee Beedee" to Ty. I have no idea what that means or where he heard it, but it worked!! Myles is even the one who gave Ty the kiss ON HIS OWN in their group picture. The pictures are by no means perfect and are not photographer quality, but they are free and are at least decent enough to remember them at this age. Hope you enjoy them. I would love to know which ones you like.

This just makes me smile.

I can't help but think of, "I'm too sexy for my shirt..."
Amanda took one similar to this last summer and it makes me smile because his eyes look HUGE!!

This my new favorite picture of Mini Man.

This is how I get them to sit "still" I bribe them with fruit snacks. Don't think for a moment I don't cheat and rip them  in half too!

Coloring

I don't know exactly what it is about coloring that is SO peaceful, but when things just get a little too crazy around here one of my favorite things to do is take out the crayons and coloring pages. Ty is starting to love coloring too. Unfortunately, this coloring session didn't last as long as I was hoping it would and we had some crayon eating, but it was still a great time.
Ready to color!

I'll show you how it's done.

Coloring is SOOO much fun.

All the cool kids put the caps in their mouth when they color.
CHEESE!!
Every child must chew on a crayon at least once.  Mini Man is no different.
This can't taste good...
This was new when Ty started coloring....

Drama!

Drama with a capital D!
This is what happens in our house when Mini Man takes Little Man's blanket while Little Man is on the potty and can't move. Seriously, THESE are the types of fires I put out in a day. (No I do not usually let my kids cry their eyes out while I go get my camera. I had it with me because I was taking a few pics of Ty)
This is one unhappy Little Man!

This really was all because Mini Man tried to take his blanket.

That's right, you mess with me and I go straight for your blanket.
Uh Oh, he's done on the potty. I better RUN!!!

Steelers

Anyone who has a favorite sports team knows that playoff time can get a little crazy. Our house is no different. Here is Mini Man's take on it all.

So who do you think will win today?

The Jets? REALLY??

You're kidding me right? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard.

No really, it's SO funny I'm still laughing!

Honestly, the Steelers WILL win. I bet my next bottle on it. See you at the Super Bowl!

Moving Mini Man

Oh Sweet Baby Ty......Where do I begin with how you amuse me. I am well aware that I was the one who was PRAYING day and night for you to walk. Now that you are, nothing is out of your reach. You can stand and climb with the best of them and you constantly keep me on my toes. Although all of these pictures are not from one day, they DO typically happen multiple times in a day. Who needs a gym membership when you have a Mini Man to keep you busy? That being said, I am still enjoying the walking stage much more than the crawling stage. I LOVE to see the look of accomplishment and pure joy when you scale that little table and stand atop of it with your hands up high. As well as the squeals of delight as you splash the toilet water around (OK this one is the least pleasing, but the smile on your face when you get caught makes me focus less on how grossed out I am). So here are a few things we encounter on a day to day basis.
 1. Digging through the garbage. You never know what great things Mom may have put in there so I need to inspect it daily and pull out the things I think are important, such as banana peels and dirty napkins.
 2. Checking the cords to all the electronics. Dad thinks he knows what he's doing, but every time I check it I find a few cords that I think should be pulled out and moved.
 3. Climbing on the fireplace. This really is done just so the attention is on me and everyone can see how darn cute I am.
 4. Daddy is trying to tell me something about this being dangerous, but I am pretty sure he doesn't really mean that I should stop doing it.
5.Climbing on the table. Some day I will be a very important person so I want to practice giving speeches to all the people who will listen.
 6. Climbing on the dishwasher. Mom thought she could outsmart me by putting the clean dishes on the counter while she put them away. Silly mommy, all I have do to is use the door as my step stool when your back is turned.
 7. Talk my good friend Lauren into letting me take her for a ride in my hippo. Some day I will have my own car and she and I can go cruising.
 8. Stealing mom's IPod. Mom thinks she's the only one who likes music. Well, after many attempts I have finally figured out how to get her IPod out of her radio dock and now I can just take it around the house whenever I want to jam to some good tunes.
 9. Eating while bathing. Some days I am just so busy I have to multitask. Why not get clean and get some vitamins all at once.
10. Splashing as much water on the floor as possible. Both my brother and I LOVE to take bathes. Myles, however, never tried to splash like I do. He just sat in the tub and played with his toys. I taught him that splashing as hard as possible is fun too. Now mom has enough water on her floors when we get done with out bath to wash the floors. We like to be helpful like that.

And there you have it....These are just a few of my favorite things to do in a day. Now sit back and enjoy the fact that you probably just read this entire post and did not have to get up once to pull a Mini Man out of the garbage or down from the fireplace. Oh how I will miss this some day.  :-)
